I’ve stayed at a lot of beautiful hotels, but nothing quite compares to the view from our room at Garden of the Gods Resort. It had the perfect view of the red rock formations at Garden of the Gods Park and Pikes Peak.

If views are important to you when choosing a hotel, this is definitely one to add to your bucket list!
The resort is located in Colorado Springs, and almost every section of the hotel has incredible views, from the guest rooms to the fitness center and even the on-site lounge. I recommend pairing the view with a sunset and a glass of rose!

We stayed for a long weekend to celebrate my husband’s 40th and my son’s 5th birthdays (5 days apart!). Between the zero-entry family pool, the on-site restaurant, golf, and a babysitting service contracted through Broadmoor Nannies, I felt like Garden of the Gods Resort had something for all of us.
In this review I’m covering the rooms and views, pools, the on-site dining and lounge, the babysitting service, and the Garden of the Gods hiking that’s just a quick five minutes drive from the hotel.

Rooms at the Garden of the Gods Resort
The wow factor of these hotel rooms is absolutely the view, however the rooms overall are really luxurious and spacious too.

Since we were traveling with our five year old, we booked the Lodge Club Queen Room for our stay so we could have two beds. This was the most basic room the hotel offers. They also have suites and cottages and casitas for larger groups.
In our room, the bedroom/living area was really big for a standard hotel room. It had a gas fireplace, furniture for seating, plenty of storage and a desk. There was also a small patio with a table and chairs.

And the bathroom was equally massive. I honestly thought it was around the same size as the main living space!
It had a huge tub which is great for kids’ baths and a large rain head shower, which was really relaxing after a long day of hiking.

The hotel is two stories, and the views are just as great from either floor. Our room was on the first floor and we had a perfectly clear line of sight into Garden of the Gods.
I also appreciated being on the first floor because there was space outside of our patio for my son to run around and we even had turkeys walk right past our room!

Amenities at Garden of the Gods Resort
We visited in early October and really lucked out with the weather. It was in the mid-80s and sunny for our whole trip, so we wanted to make sure we planned for pool time.
Garden of the Gods Resort has two pools. One is open to families of all ages. It has a zero depth entry and lanes for swimming laps. There’s a second pool with a great view of Garden of the Gods that is only for guests 21+.

My husband also took advantage of the resort’s golf course. He wanted to golf somewhere unique, and the course has the same incredible Garden of the Gods views from throughout the resort. I thought that fit the bill!
There’s also a fitness center, spa (which I wanted to try but didn’t), and other wellness treatments and experiences like yoga classes and meditation.

Dining at Garden of the Gods Resort
The two main dining options are the Grand View Restaurant and The Rocks Lounge.
The Grand View Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, has indoor and outdoor seating, all with amazing views of Garden of the Gods.

We ate breakfast here twice and thought the food was great! They have a kids menu with simple items like pancakes, french toast sticks and bacon. One morning my son and I split the cast iron skillet cinnamon roll, which I highly recommend!

The dinner menu is more high-end. I’d recommend making reservations for dinner and be aware they have a business casual dress code after 5 p.m.
The Rocks Lounge is a great spot to grab a pre-dinner glass of wine and enjoy the sunset (which we did every night).

It’s open to only resort guests and club members, but it can still get busy, especially on weekends. This might have been my one and only critical piece of feedback on this resort. It didn’t always seem fully staffed, so sometimes there was a long wait to order or get our check.
Garden of the Gods Resort also has a coffee shop, Beach and Cable Barista, offers room service (with a full kids menu) and poolside dining at both pools.

Babysitting at Garden of the Gods Resort
This was by far the amenity I was most excited for. Garden of the Gods Resort contracts with Broadmoor Nannies to offer vetted babysitting services to hotel guests.
You need to book this in advance and you will be assigned a nanny. Your nanny will come to your hotel room and you’re free for adult-only time on or off the hotel property.
Broadmoor Nannies requires a minimum of four hours and the hourly cost is $38/hour, which seems steep, but is well worth it if you never get kid-free time on vacation like us!
We booked this service twice and were very happy with both of our nannies. One even took our son on a scavenger hunt through the property, spotting different plants, animals and nature.

Proximity to Garden of the Gods
Garden of the Gods is a quick five minute drive from the hotel. Before we visited, I didn’t fully appreciate how large this park is and how much space there is to explore.

We explored the park on foot and found a few kid-friendly hiking and climbing spaces. Stop in the Visitor and Nature Center before you enter the park and the staff will help you determine which areas are best for your family.
There are also plenty of walking, biking and driving guided tour options through Garden of the Gods too.
Having a hotel that was so close to Garden of the Gods was great because we could break up our visits into smaller chunks, which I knew would be best with our five year old.
My biggest tip is if you’re not used to the elevation, make sure you bring plenty of water and sunscreen.

Overall, we were really happy with our stay at Garden of the Gods Resort. The property felt luxurious, but in a rustic, Colorado way. The views from the rooms and throughout the property alone were worth booking a stay here. And the amenities were great for parents and kids, most notably the vetted babysitting service.
